This seems to be perhaps one of the most important questions a Christian could possibly ask because the state of their health in christ Jesus could as well largely depend on it, TB Joshua watch, A scoan critic wordpress.com site in a recent article, have blatantly attacked the teaching of TB Joshua that explicitly talks about the need to maintain healing, blessing and salvation, in their post titled; Healing at SCOAN and Healing in the bible. Their fallen argument seems to be on the grounds of the fact that Maintenance of healing is not a phrase found in scripture and that Jesus telling the man at the pool in John 5: 14 to go and seen no more lest a worse thing come upon him actually referred to something totally different, not the same sickness returning.
According to their dodgy theology, faith is only required to receive a miracle and not to maintain it, “True divine healing is complete and final they said” Now we must point out here that this is the height of satanic deception, we’re talking of here of the greatest deception devised by the devil that has been widely accepted by an unfortunate number of Christians today; this false doctrine of “once healed; always healed’ or “once saved; always saved” this false doctrine/dodgy theology wrongly assumes that the moment a person is healed or saved, there’s nothing he/she could ever do, either by omission or commission to lose his/her healing or salvation, that is, even if the person in question goes on ahead to commit the grossest sins that led to the sickness in the first place, this false doctrine teaches that the person is still healed or saved. Brace up yourselves people and beware, because nothing could be further from the truth of God’s eternal word and obviously the speciality of the Pharisee authors behind TB Joshua watch. No doubt God definitely did promise to do his part of keeping us in perfect health and spiritual salvation till the end, but this does not mean we have no part to play. TB Joshua watch stated that God’s healing is unconditional, which is true in the sense of us having to earn, work or pay for it, but in fact, almost all God’s promises stated in scripture are somewhat dependent in part on us for their fulfilment.
RECURRING AFFLICTIONS: “THE CONSEQUENCE OF RETURNING TO SIN AFTER HEALING”
The truth remains that a lot of requests we make of God today is a clear result of our inability to maintain what He originally gave to us to the effect that we many times stand in his presence requesting for what we once had but lost it, by this I mean, a lot of people who actually come to God for healing today were not always sick, a lot of them were at one time in perfect health as Christians, but eventually lost the good health given to them by God as a result of smoking habits, drugs, sexual immorality and the likes, and today they desire healing, is that not health already lost? And now sought after? Where did they get this warped thinking from that healing cannot be lost? This is clearly satanic doctrine, a doctrine coined by those who don’t want to submit to the tight rein of holy living. Supposing a patient were healed from cancer of the lungs which developed as a result of smoking, and gives his testimony that he’s healed, he may be healed all right, but is he healed from the character of smoking? How long do you think such healing would last, if soon after the healing, the patients resumes heavily on Cigarettes? Even the doctors after treatment give some certain conditions under which the patient about to be discharged would stay healthy, stuffs to cut down on, stuffs to never eat or drink etc. and sometimes because of failure to comply with such regulations the patients become regular at the medics while their condition deteriorate, even in medicine, health has to maintained, it’s no different from a faith life, whatever we receive from faith must also be sustained by faith.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH?
We must refer to the Bible here, God’s word as the most effective instrument for change, and see what it says about this subject, In Ezekiel 18:24, God himself asked what would be the outcome of a man who turns away from his righteousness to do evil;
“But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sins and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live?
and here was His answer:
“none of the righteous things he has done will be remembered because of the unfaithfulness, he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed; he will die.
The death referred to here is spiritual, the same used when God told Adam and eve they would surely die on eating the forbidden fruit. We must be clear on this biblical truth, there are two parts involved in reception of miracles or salvation from God; we have God’s part and Man’s part, God’s part is His word to cause faith to grow in our hearts and his grace to cover our sins, it is this part God plays in our salvation that enables a sinner to experience the new birth when he accepts Christ. There is no way a sinner can earn this, no matter how many good work he does or no matter how fine an attitude he has, this is why the Bible refers to it as a free gift of God, but man’s part has to do with fining and attending to God’s word, while taking time to live holy lives, this does not in any way imply that salvation earned through good works, it only buttresses a biblical truth, that THOUGH SALVATION/BLESSING/HEALING ARE FREE, KEEPING THEM IS INDEED COSTLY.
Lets bring this down to common knowledge, take for instance a friend gives you a brand new car this Christmas which he bought with his hard-earned money and simply gave you the keys, telling you that its your Christmas present, hope you like it, have a nice ride, all you need to do at the moment is to take the keys and express gratitude. But then let me ask you, was the car a free gift to you, yes of course it was because you didn’t have to earn it or work for it, but then is it going to cost you anything to maintain the car? Of course it will, you’ll get to have to put gas, change oil when necessary, rev up the engines regularly if you aren’t going to use them for long, wax the car and so on, so yeah in the end the car is costly to keep but it was indeed free when you received it. Salvation, healing, and all of God’s blessings work in the same way, God indeed does offer salvation when we’re sleeping in sin, healing when we are sick but once we receive them we must take care not to lose them or in biblical terms, not to fall away, seriously, come to think of it, Jesus is the source of health and healing, if we are healed as a result of a relationship with Him only to later fall away from faith, we are disconnected from the source himself, and as long as the source is disconnected, its only a matter of time before the supply goes dry.
HEALING: AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW OUR LOYALTY TO GOD AGAIN.
When we are healed of the punishments of sin, it’s an opportunity to show our loyalty to God again by learning from our past and moving on, not turning to the left or right that we may not fall away. Probably, the most common passage in scripture that specifically talks about falling away is in Hebrews, the sixth chapter, there the aftermath of doom awaiting those who fall away is clearly illustrated and ultimately concluded in the words: “it is impossible for them to be brought back to repentance” Apostle peter also clearly highlights the cases of those who have lost their salvation in 2 peter 2:20-21, also in 2 peter 1:10, the scripture talks about the actions that would secure our place as children of God from the Devil who aims to overthrow it in the words:… “If you do these things you will never fall…” healing is definitely of less value when compared to salvation, if salvation can be lost, then there’s no reason why healing cannot be lost as well.
There’s no better way to explain this doctrine than the way TB Joshua put it, when he referred to the purpose of healing as for a relationship with Jesus forever, we do not only need Faith to be healed or saved we also need faith to stay healed and saved, because the blessing attracts persecution, without faith such blessing or healing will not stand the test of time.
TB Joshua watch finally stated in the article, that TB Joshua is either a conman or sorcerer, (thus making themselves Judges) and told their readers who want treatment to go see a doctor, (which is OK, seriously we’ve got nothing against that), and also told those looking for healing to go and see Jesus (they never provided an address or location to meet him though) adding that what TB Joshua provides is poor counterfeit of both. (perhaps they ought to tell this to those who are being healed regularly at SCOAN, delivered of fibroids and babies that otherwise would have been delivered by risky operations, or those delivered from the satanic forces that has held them down so long) well apart from their usual dodgy theology, they also seek to hinder the movement of those seeking God at the scoan, this calls for an unwavering resolve, and an unshakable confidence in what we believe. and the likes of TB Joshua watch would clearly be out of business.

Healing by faith is not neccessarily free in the true sence of it. It may cost you your pride, as in the case of Naaman. It may cost you giving up a pleasurable habit. In the same vein, salvation may cost you all your earthly wealth, as in the case of the rich young man who asked Jesus what next to do to get eternal life. A lot of God’s promises are conditional. If you do this, I will do that. If you do not, then this will happen to you. We must strive to obey God on a daily bases to continue to enjoy His blessings, else we expose ourselves to his wrath!
I thank the owner of this blog for is courage to do a wonderfull work like this may GOD strengthen you the more.an help you to tell and expose to the world the authenticness of the greace in the life of prophent tb joshua.
I would just like to remind the detractors of TB Joshua of what God says in His Word
John 8:7-9
7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
All of you including myself fall into this category. This alone should tell you that pulling apart Prophet TB Joshua online is wrong.
TB Joshua Watch states on their about page “The purpose of this website is to critically examine the ministry of Nigerian mega-pastor TB Joshua and attempt to separate truth from lies”. According to the above scripture you or I have no right to do this. Then all of our sordid or not so sordid pasts and presents can be critically examined. I for one would be too ashamed even though I believe I am a true Christian.
Secondly, I would like to respond to TB Joshua Watch’s question “does your healing need to be maintained and faith’s role”
Of course yes. Faith is an integral part of healing.
Hebrews 11:6
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Some people are healed at a crusade with no faith, but the person who is ministering has the faith and the person is healed. This person might be a baby in Christ and don’t think they have any role to play in maintaining their healing.
Proverbs 6:2
2 you have been trapped by what you said,
ensnared by the words of your mouth.
I would recommend reading the book “The Power of your words” by EW Kenyan and you will clearly see you cannot rise above your confession. If you go home and start speaking doubt, unbelief and sickness you are giving satan a back door to afflict you as God is not the author of sickness and disease.
Other people might speak life and healing but go back to old habits like overeating, smoking, drinking etc. and are amazed that they get sick again. I can only say
Hosea 4:6
6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
“Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children.
And other people truly believed, professed their faith and followed the Word but still died. I don’t know why as we only know in part but the Bible says.
Hebrews: 11-13
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
I would like to leave TB Joshua Watch with this, as they did not publish this post let these Words go deep into your heart and bring healing and forgiveness as the consequences of touching one of God’s anointed, only God knows. Let God be the judge you don’t need to help Him.
Remember TB Joshua is a man like you and me and he will make mistakes, but from countless videos watched over more than 11 years, personal testimonies of people I know and respect who know the Prophet well and the words that he utters every Sunday service on Emmanuel TV, I believe he is a true man of God.
1 Chronicles 16:22
“Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm”
James 4:11
11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister[a] or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.
Matthew 7:1-5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Hi concerned one, thanks for your insightful response, but something else caught my attention in your post where you said
“I would like to leave TB Joshua Watch with
this, as they did not publish this post…”
Are you clearly saying you made this same response on their site and they refused to approve it?
Hi, yes, I posted it and it wasn’t approved. That is why I posted it on this blog. God’s Word is sharper than a 2 edged sword you cannot retaliate or answer to it. Just these 3 scriptures refutes the purpose of their whole blog. They cannot respond to these scriptures.
John 8:7-9
7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

God bless
Yes, that is correct – we did not post that comment. That was for two reasons, 1) it is far longer than we usually permit anyone to post (an important consideration when moderating any discussion), and 2) it did not bring anything new to the discussion, most of the points (“Touch not my anointed” and “Do not judge”) are brought up practically every week, and have been refuted time and time again.
So enjoy your feeling of self righteousness that yes, TB Joshua Watch didn’t approve a comment! (Although I doubt you’ll post this!
)
How seemingly nice of you to try explaining here, but he wouldn’t be the only one to complain of this, so many others have, besides this explanation would have sounded more innocent if you guys haven’t approved far worse and longer comments than his, or comments that bring back already addressed issues, but you well have. seriously, how can you justify this? you guys refuse to approve scriptural texts but approve appalling comments like Mr terrific’s calling Scoan “The pit of hell”, and TB Joshua, the “leader of the anti christs”? Isn’t your intolerance towards such personal attack comments also part of your comment policy? Its clear that You employ your policies only when it suits you guys and your quest and from the looks of it, the only ones enjoying a feeling of self righteousness here are you guys, you feel self-righteous enough to judge TB Joshua, perhaps you haven’t noticed, several of your prolific commenters are leaving your site – people are beginning to see you guys for who you really are.
God bless you.

@ Tb Joshua watch.
So you prefer to see and approve Mr Terrifics insulting words like (maintain maracles is one of the demonic activities, saying judgement is already upon him, saying Tb Joshua messages are false doctrins of demons lying demons. Words like TB Joshua is the piper who always pay the piper and plays his own tone. Calls Tb Joshua chalant fatai balogun. Calling him one of the many false antichrist and the leader of them all.calling him a leading false prophet in the word today.) you prefer this to God’s scripture.RIGHT? If all these were spokem to you will you approve it? This shows the nature of people you are. When visser called you a politician you never posted it.let alone those insulting and provoking words at Tb Joshua.
Maybe am also wasting my time on your site. You keep proving to me you aren’t worthy of it by your natures.
Doi, did you just notice you were wastin your time there? i’ve long realised that, in-fact i was so wrong to think that i could make them see reason, i even wished i had realised it sooner, cos after all the effort and time i invested responding and refuting their claims it all turned out i was talking to brick walls, they’re clearly heresy-hunters as someone put it on their site and finding fault seems to be their idea of eternal bliss.

recovery [rɪˈkʌvərɪ]
n pl -eries
1. the act or process of recovering, esp from sickness, a shock, or a setback; recuperation
2. restoration to a former or better condition
3. the regaining of something lost
Not every healing is instantaneous. Healing can be a process or it can be instantaneous as the Holy Spirit wills.
The Bible also says
James 1:6-8
6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
So based on these scriptures, what do you want TB Joshua to say to these people. “Oh well I am not really sure if you are healed or not” You must be single minded about what you are trusting God for.
I have seen people being prayed for being healed instantly and people that recover over a period of time and people not recovering at all.
I have been prayed for by many Pastors over many years and visibly could not feel or see any difference. Does that make all the Pastors and Prophets in the world Satanists.
Show me 1 Pastor or Prophet in the world that every person they have prayed for has been healed. Show me 1 Pastor or Prophet in the world that had a crusade where every single person jumped out of their wheelchair, started seeing or was healed of cancer or aids. There ain’t any. So then you must start a blog about every man of God in the world and start pulling them apart.
Have you ever prayed to God in the name of Jesus to heal yourself or a loved one from something and it did not happen? I have been praying for many years and yes in the natural I can’t see any change but God has been healing me from the inside out first dealing with my spirit man. Then we all should start blogging about ourselves and pulling each other apart. I might die in the condition I am but that will not change my confession and what I am trusting God for. I also can’t go blaming the pastors that prayed for me for the fact that I have not had my breakthrough yet.
Every person has a unique walk with God. You go through seasons. You can’t just go to a vending machine and ask God to pop you out a miracle or expect to maintain it without plaing your part. “Through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God”
Christianity is “the great fight of faith”. The devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. It is not just 1 prayer then you have your miracle and everything is hunky dory. He will come at you till the day you die, trying to destroy you. A Christian has a role to play to fight the good fight of faith, that is why the Bible talks of “the great men of faith” like Abraham.
I have endured lots of physical pain and brokenness for many years, I know what I am talking about. I have been at deaths door many years ago and I am still fighting the fight of faith. Your blog makes me want to get sick. Judge your own life’s with the measures you are dishing out, critically examine your own life’s before you start criticizing a church that at least wants to pray for seriously sick people.
They that are critising TB Joshua are the satanists they are like their father the devil
