The reputation of Nigeria in the US received a serious boost today with the news that a Nigerian church known for its charity donated thousands of dollars to a ranch for homeless men in Newport, Washington, USA. Anyone who knows anything about Nigeria would quickly guess the identity of the Nigerian church behind this bold philanthropic gesture. While other Nigerian clerics are known for their ostentatious lavish lifestyles and private jets, TB Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations is known internationally for his charity work and is quoted by Forbes as spending 20 million dollars on charity in the last three years. So it comes as no surprise that the $2,250 donation for The Lord’s Ranch for homeless men in Newport came from TB Joshua.
The news of this generous gift reached American News Station ABC where Ian Cullet reported that the donation purchased waterproof and warm winter wear, food for the homeless men, many of them recovering drug addicts and also new snow tyres for the ranches’ van. The report showed the residents’ surprise at receiving these much-needed gifts from a donor they had never met and had never expected.
“This is real nice stuff and it looks like something quality that’ll last with the guys and something good they’ve never had in their life,” resident Joseph Boenick said as he looked around the room.
It’s Boenick’s third month at the ranch, which is a shelter for 30 men who are recovering addicts or homeless. ”We’ll be warm out in the woods while we’re out cutting wood and doing our job and we won’t be cold. Our feet won’t be freezing,” Boenick said.
“It’s amazing this church in Lagos, Nigeria said they want to do something to help the poor in America because we’re having a financial crisis here,” the head of Lord’s Ranch, Adrian Simila, said. If it all sounds too good to be true, and you’re wondering if there’s a catch, Simila says there isn’t one and they’ve already used the money to buy jackets, jeans, food, and snow tires for the van. “This is a real tangible gift. It’s not a scam from Nigeria, this is the real deal,” he said.
With the economic melt-down an ever dawning reality, help from any quarter is welcome and truly this help spoke volumes about the simple and age-old virtue of love.
What is heartening is that far from doing this for good publicity or name, TB Joshua makes a habit of giving. Just a glimpse of his satellite station, Emmanuel TV would reveal multiple recent humanitarian outreach missions to the conflict ridden northern states on Nigeria including, Borno, Jos, Yobe and Kaduna. Millions of naira and thousands of bags of rice were sent along with goodwill messages breaking any barriers of faith or race.

As many of the beneficiaries of TB Joshua’s philanthropy often say, if there were more people doing what TB Joshua is doing, the disabled, the widows, the orphans, the homeless and the weak would suffer less.
No matter how many slick media campaigns or diplomatic public relation negotiations, nothing can change a person’s mind about a country or people as much as a selfless genuine act of love to humanity. Whether they herald him or persecute him, in my opinion, Nigeria is damned lucky to have TB Joshua.

It is generally believed that seeing is believed. But so many have seen, yet they cannot believe. Surely, many will die in their unbelief. How I wish God will keep on keeping His Prophet TB Joshua for us.
Because of our doubt & unbelief, God has transfered Nigeria’s Blessings to other nations.
We are aware God blessed Ghana & changed their bad times because the leaders listened to Pr. TB Joshua.
Please Man of God, help change Nigeria for better.
WE ARE READY.
Emmanuel(God with us).
Thank you for your coment brethren. It is true the saying that a prophet is not welcomed in his own country. This is happening with prophet TB Joshua. Because he is God’s messenger, people will tend to be suspecious of him. We should not get worried its all biblical. What the bible said is what we are seing today. Take heart
I pledge to TB josua my country.
To be faithful, loyal and honest.
To serve TB josua with all my strenght.
To defend his unity.
To uphold his honour and glory
So help me God.
prophet Tb Joshua is a light to Africa and the world, i pray for God to keep on straighten him in other to keep on the good work he is doing in peoples life in JESUS NAME..AMEN
Am happy that every of SCOAN activities are aired live and direct.. Those that will believe wil and those that won.t believe will not. Today there are those who do not believe christ came to the world. For me I thank God for a prophet like TB JOSHUA
..
The slideshow which accompanies this post gives the impressionof sacrificial giving by TB Joshua apparently from his own personal wealth. If this is the case then he is to be applauded; although Matthew 6 v1 suggests that applause is all he’ll get.
If on the other hand he is dispensing money from SCOAN funds (money that has been given by church members) then it is not his money anyway but God’s.

This dude is just trying to cover up his true nature…deception is only good when evil shows itself as the angel of light….
@ Israel
i call you the doubting Thomas of our time, Jesus told us by their fruit we shall know them, he also said, can a bad tree produce good fruit which you known it is impossible, if what Tb Joshua is doing is not of God he will not have succeed up till now. for you to thank God for using is servant to help the poor and the needing you went on insulting him, looking at Nigerian we have rich people and billionaires pastors with private get but they can not remember the poor in our society and this same people her still the one publicly calling the man of God different name an even paying people to speak against Gods servant. I pray for God to open your eyes to the truth an always know that the end shall tell, who is truly from God
You don’t know what you are talking about. What deception do you see in the man of God. Didn’t Jesus Himself mad it clear that the road to Heaven and to pleasing God is through loving one another? What kind of love do you want which does not show itself in giving? Are you not one of those who are busy squandering their God given money in hotels, cars and food while many people around the world, including your relatives, are suffering? You should change your attitude and i pray, in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, that your eyes be opened so that you can see good things of God when they happen. Long life to the man of God, Prophet TB Joshua.
Hmmmm Great news…… There is a reward for every piece of giving so thumbs up to T. B Joshua, may God reward you well.
We all know that there’s a motive behind every act generousity…… The motive behind this we don’t know but indeed it’s good to give………..
Seriously guys, the other pastors live like hollywood royalties and we complain, now tb dole out miracles and money like its goin out of fashion and still we complain. The beef of the matter is that only God himself knows who is serving him,and he said so in the bible;not all that call lord lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven!
Let d Nigerian government see how to be a GREAT NATION among all country
Are you not concerned that they call pastor tb joshua jesus?giving for a chistian is normal
I am not holding brief for the 419s of Nigeria. What bothers me is ihow the Nigerian situation is given so much attention. For many years prominent Nigerians in position steal our money only to deposit them in Western banks, and these banks accept these sums with happiness. These banks are never referred to as corrupt. How can one accept more than a million pounds cash from an individual into your bank without questions. So you encourage them to go out and steal and you keep it for them. Some these people deposit this money without their name but codes so when they suddenly die the money goes to the state. Is that not corruption of the highest order?. The bank clerks also steal this money. The 419 ministers buy expensive houses but don’t live there. They pay all the local taxes but would not pay in Nigeria. Do not fall prey to big media houses brain washing you that Nigeria is corrupt. If they stop collect stolen goods from Nigerians, Nigerians will stop stealing their people. Few smart Nigerian youth con greedy people for few dollars and you complain, why? A Nigerian (Igboman) with onlyWASC went to America and told Professors, Doctors that he can DOUBLE money for them. They agreed and gave him thousands of dollars and the guy ran away. He was reported to FBI who started searching him. He was caught and he told them how greedy and stupid they were to believe him. GREED is everywhere
Nigeria is blessed with T.B. Joshua. He heals you both spiritually and physically. Gives you money to go and start a business. Go and talk to those with open ulcer which afflicted them for years that T. B Joshua is any thing less than god and see how they will do to you. Who is God is anyway? He provides for all your needs. He is single-handedly changing the image of Nigeria. Nigeria is blessed to have him. He is very patriotic too. We have many big churches in Nigeria doing well internationally but how many of them cater for the poor. They want to own planes and Mansions in all world capitals speaking big gramma. This is a simple man who had know what hunger is. May God bless him. How many of them have video of their beginning? This tells me that this man T.B. Joshua knew where he was going. That is the testimoney
@isreal,wether you believe and take tbj for who he is(prophet of God) or not it wont change who he is.as for me he is my father, pastor, prophet and all. GOD PLEASE KEEP MY DADDY FOR ME.
Good or bad, the man of God is doing what the bible commanded-feeding the poor. The Bible says : judge no one before the time – 1 Cor. 4:5. Matt. 7:3. pLS HELP SUM1 2DAY.
