Prophetic revelations and predictions from ‘men of God’ are among the most tampered with, misused, assumed upon and spread through various media forms, particularly here in Africa.

The renowned prophet TB Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Nigeria is among those whose prophecies are grabbed, twisted, changed and spread round like there’s no tomorrow. Why so much controversy? Why so much interest? Why is everyone talking about this man? Is he a false prophet or genuinely sent from God? One thing is clear, opinions vary widely. While some praise him from the housetops, others vilify him as if he is the cause of all evil and pain in this world.

TB Joshua is certainly unpredictable. Almost every week, he will speak of what God has revealed to him covering almost every aspect of life – from the death of a president, to the outbreak of protests, to the results of a football match!

Hearing so much about him and yet not actually witnessing anything firsthand,

I decided to check TB Joshua out in the clear cold light of day.

I started to watch his live broadcasts on his channel Emmanuel TV every week, taking particular note of the time for world prophecy. As the AFCON 2012 came closer, I was eager to hear what this man would say, as it seems as if in the past he has predicted the outcome of many matches in big tournaments, most recently saying that Nigeria would not qualify – something that was confirmed in their disappointing match against Guinea (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrtX4lkMzwg / http://www.modernghana.com/news/355017/1/tb-joshua-predicted-super-eagles-shocking-exit.html) Despite this seeming confirmation of prophecy, I was incredibly cynical of this man and saw any prediction I would witness as an opportunity to lash him and condemn him once and for all.

Even before the tournament started, the internet and some newspapers in our country Zambia was littered with news that both TB Joshua and a South African Sangoma had predicted that Zambia would take the cup (http://www.ibotswana.co.bw/news/sport/item/10862-bone-shaker.html). I knew however that this was false as I had scrutinised his prophecies closely and he had not mentioned a word about the coming tournament. As I write, some still believe this report that TB Joshua agreed with a Sangoma. It reached the day of the match and TB Joshua had not yet spoken. I relaxed, assuming that God decided not to reveal the result to his “servant” at this time. It was Sunday February 12th 2012, I was watching Emmanuel TV but as soon as the match started, I excitedly switched over to watch it, eager to see my country performing. After about 5 minutes, I instinctively switched over to Emmanuel TV again to confirm if the service was over and literally could not believe my ears. TB Joshua was talking about the match! He said that he could see the victory coming to a country that was not expected, that it would make them smile because of the past record and the victims. He went further to say that somebody would miss an open goal 25 minutes into the second half and that people would be shouting, questioning how he could miss such an easy chance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mmbpPInYaE&feature=channel_video_title). At last, this was my opportunity to test TB Joshua’s prophetic prowess, I switched back to the game and settled down to watch. I agreed in my mind that the result of this game would determine for me whether this man was of God or not. Interestingly enough, 25 minutes into the second half, at the 70th minute, Drogba missed a penalty and then Zambia went on to take the cup after a nail-biting penalty shootout, providing succour to the grief that has been prevalent since the death of the nation’s team in a plane crash in Gabon, 1993. What could I say? Someone had missed an open goal 25 minutes into the second half and the team that nobody had expected, the underdogs, the least favourite sealed the victory. My incredibly sceptical mind towards TB Joshua suffered a severe battering and I went on my knees in bitter tears begging my God for forgiveness for misjudging his servant and opening my big mouth to speak of what I knew not.

So, what can be said about this man? Many believe him, many don’t. Some say he is deceiving, some say he is speaking of the devil. But I have come to a conviction that this man is a God-send to this generation. I believe that the more TB Joshua’s prophecies are exposed, the more they will silence the cynical as they eventually managed to silence me. But some, however many more prophecies are spoken and confirmed will still not believe. Why? Because they refuse to believe. They have chosen to harden their hearts so much that not even a nail could penetrate through.

The question many are asking is: If he is a false prophet, why has he not been exposed and silenced since? And the other question is, if he is a real prophet, why don’t more people believe him and recognise him? Why all the vicious attacks? I will answer that question with a scripture:

Those who are just stumbling onto this man and wish to come to your own conclusions as I did, unbiased and untainted by what you have read or heard, just check out two of the recent yet to be fulfilled prophecies of this man.

- He said that an African president, head of state will die of sickness

– He said a bridge will collapse in India

Or why don’t you find time to watch his channel on a Sunday and hear his predictions live and raw and monitor their outcomes?
After reading this, some may disregard it immediately as a piece of propaganda and continue to rain curses on this man, others may continue to speak of his authenticity. There is one thing you can’t do however – and that is to ignore him, sweep him under a carpet as if you had never heard of him. Why? Because years down the line, your conscience will continue to niggle you, irritate you – why did you not find out the truth about this man? Was it all that difficult? Find out so you will have a definitive answer to give, if and only if the Lord asks you about it when you stand before Him on the last day.

Video footage posted by The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria on YouTube shows T.B. Joshua talking on Sunday 12th February 2012, several hours before the match between Zambia and Ivory Coast was due to start.

“I know you have a game now which you want to watch,” Joshua began, speaking in a church service televised live on Emmanuel TV, a station very popular across Africa, especially in Zambia. “Today is the final and you want me to talk about it.” Joshua, who similarly predicted Ghana’s historic victory in the 2009 U-20 World Cup, said victory would be for the underdogs.

“Yes, this blessing is for a country you are not expecting; this victory is for a country you are not expecting.” With Ivory Coast going into the match as overwhelming favorites, replete with many Premier League and European stars, it is clear who Joshua was referring to.

Although known for speaking in parables when prophesying, the fact that Joshua was talking about Zambia became even more apparent as he proceeded to explain that God wanted the nation in question to rejoice because of a past tragedy.

“God wants to make them happy because of the victims of what happened to them in the past. Yes, this is joy; everybody will celebrate. That will make them forget about the past record of what happened to the same country… This is a day of forgetting, and dancing!”

The last time Zambia reached the AFCON final in 1994, it was just a year after 18 members of Zambia’s national football team died tragically in a plane crash in Libreville, Gabon. It was an event that shocked the entire nation and wiped out several of their brightest football stars. En route to the final, the current team had spoken of the strength and inspiration they had gained in remembering the tragedy.

Joshua went on to mention a specific incident vital to the outcome of the game, remarkably even stating the precise time it was to occur. “God showed me the first and second halves. In the second half at 25 minutes there is a mistake… Even if you have the opportunity to enter the television where they are playing, you would enter and flog the player, ‘Why didn’t you score this thing?’ ” You will face the goalkeeper and play it out, over the bar. Face to face with the goalkeeper and you now play it outside. Is that not a big mistake? That is the goal that would have given you the Cup. Now, it is taken to the other side.”

The ensuing events seemed to follow in the footprints of the prophet’s declaration, specifically the penalty miss of Ivorian striker Didier Drogba in the 70th minute, the 25th minute of the second half. The Chelsea FC striker ballooned the ball high over the bar, a miss uncharacteristic of the prolific goal-scorer and one that almost certainly cost Ivory Coast victory.

With the game ending goalless, a dramatic penalty shoot-out was to decide the victor. As Zambia’s Stophira Sunzu emphatically scored his team’s match-winning penalty, scenes of chaotic joy rippled across Zambia. The tragic events of 1993 were forgotten as victory against the tournament favorite’s sparked nationwide rejoicing and celebrations that continued far into the night.

Beware! “A huge bridge is about to collapse” – TB Joshua warns the nation of India

In his live church service on Sunday the 5^th of February 2012, TB Joshua of the synagogue church of all Nations, addressed the congregation and the world at large through Emmanuel tv on a vision God had given him concerning the Nation of India; in these words;

Pray for this country, India, I’m seeing a very huge bridge broken, and when a bridge divides into two what do you think would happen to the vehicles on top and everybody? Pray for India and this bridge is very close to the river, it’s like crossing the river and…” so please pray for the nation India, I’m seeing a breaking news, what is the cause of the breaking news, they said; this is a bridge divide and the people on top and everyone…” so please everybody be careful, the word is a global one now, so pray for the Nation India, Open your lips for prayer. I’m seeing this happen; they should take care on Thursday, Wednesday or Friday night. So I’ll still go into it but pray for this nation, it’s not this week anyway.

For the warning of all and sundry, particularly those in the nation of India, we’ve highlighted the key details of this prophecy which many critics, cynics and doubting Thomas’s may simply overlook only to cynically pass off the entire prophecy as vague, when it in real sense  contains very explicit and sharp details.

Firstly TB Joshua talks about the nature of the bridge in question being a very huge one,  secondly, he speaks in more detail of the nature of the bridge’s collapse in form of a question when he asks; when a bridge divides into two what do you think would happen to the vehicles on top and everybody? With such description, it becomes evident that this is clearly not a minor breakage; the expression “divides in two” in his question alone portends a very major disaster.

Thirdly, from that same question, and also towards the end of the prediction, he seems to suggest the bridge collapsing “when people and vehicles are on it” that definitely puts the lives of people walking on the bridge and driving on it in their vehicles in grave danger.

fourthly, he foretells the bridges’ location when he says, a bridge very close to the river, this would definitely help narrow down the search for this particular bridge, most likely crossing a river to get to, (he didn’t finish that statement) fifthly, the graveness of the

disaster as it would dominate world news headlines, when he said I see “breaking News” and the cause is a bridge’s divide, sixthly he talks of the day of the week this bridge  would collapse as within two days (Wednesday/Thursday) and one night (Friday).seventhly,  that the occurrence of this event wouldn’t be within this week. This presumably tells us of the closeness of the event in question, perhaps more closer than we think.

The implication of all these predictions for the present includes the need for humility from the nations in question not only in praying to avert the mishap, but also to inquire of God through the prophet for further details to ultimately pinpoint this bridge, you would be right if you would request more detailed answerers regarding this prophecy, or perhaps even its name and location on a map. but more important than answering these questions is asking the right ones, the right question King Jehosaphat asked in the bible needs to be asked again by our present world leaders;

 But Jehoshaphat said, “is there not still a prophet of the Lord that we may inquire of Him” 2 chronicles 18:6.

 He certainly as a king, had army generals, countless foot soldiers and chariots at his command alongside strategies of the best intellectuals of his day, even with all these he sought for the counsel of the prophet of the LORD.

As for this prediction of an Indian bridge collapse, with all these explicit and sharp details given, I personally am left with no other option but to believe for certain that he knows the bridge, of which he speaks of, but left the whole issue in the form of parables, knowing the sensitive nature of the disaster he speaks of. If you ask me he’s said almost everything and has given almost every detail except the name of the very bridge, which of course should be a concealed detail because of the nature of our world and society today, if he had mentioned such, he might even be accused of being the one responsible in the end as he was accused when Nigeria lost to Guinea in the African cup of nations.

Ayo Oritsejafor; "We Must Defend Ourselves"

According to news reports, several homes and churches had been burnt and Christians have been killed in their hundreds by the sect and the most unforgettable one was the attack on the worshippers at a Roman Catholic Church in Mandalla, Niger state where no fewer than 48 lives have been confirmed dead.

It is expected that during such a trying period for the Christians, they would look up to their spiritual leaders and father’s in the faith for encouragement and strength to stand firm in the days ahead, and to source from them the will to trust in God for deliverance and defense’ but sadly some of them, suprisingly the mega pastors have come forward only to spit fire, in the midst of the troubled waters, thereby fanning the flames of war altogether.

The religious climate in Nigeria among Christians is saturated with the quest to identify and expose false prophets,  but the problem is the lot of them judge with the wrong criteria. Jesus Himself pointed out the criteria when he said to the pharisees;

” Stop judging by mere appearances and make the right Judgement” John 7:24

 Note the word “Mere appearances” ie whatever constitues the “looks or outward qualities ” of a pastor, friendliness, ability to inspire and eloquence. ‘Jesus did not say by their appearance  you will know them; he said by the fruit you shall know them’.

If they had been discerning by scriptural standards, Every Nigerian by this time would be able to discern a good fruit from by a bad one’ and from their fruits In terms of modesty, humility, love for fellow man, good deeds, and including comments on national issues, it’s easy to know who is Christ-like and the one who is made up of falsehood.

 On the issue of Boko Haram, Ayo Oritsejafor was calling on Christians to defend themselves because the government seemed incapable of defending them, on examining the advice of Oristejafor in totality, with what should Christians defend themselves? Is it with Holy water, Crucifixes or Bibles? He may have said it so casually; Christians defend thy self! but he left a question unanswered, How? To go to church with a pistol in their pockets? Or perhaps AK 47 in their babaringa? (African traditional wear)  Did he really mean we should use guns and swords?  

Yet he seems not to be the only one spewing fire from his mouth, Another Prominent Nigerian Mega Pastor Enoch Adebayo who has been noted as the world’s 49th most influential person by the prestigious American magazine, Newsweek who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) In the midst of all the mayhem was quoted to have read a Riot Act to the sect warning its members to stop attacking Christians, their homes and churches or face the consequences.

 ”We are not allowed to burn mosques or kill people of other religious beliefs but d Bible says we are allowed to Defend ourselves, churches, homes. ‘Be gentle as a dove but Wise as a Serpent’”, Adeb0ye  posted on his Face Book wall yesterday.

This is the position tallies of the Christian leaders in the North who met recently in Abuja where they vowed never to attack anyone but tasked their members to defend themselves, their homes and the churches against any further attack.

Enoch Adeboye; "We must Defend Ourselves"

At the meeting a  fire-spitting cleric (name withheld) whose church is located in Area One, Abuja was asked to teach on the position of the Bible on religious intolerance.

The Pastor, according to an eye witness, took his audience from the Old Testament to the New where he cited how Christians were able to defend themselves against any unprovoked attack.

“We need to remind these murderers that Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, is both the Lamb of God who took away our sins and the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the Lamb to us but Lion against our foes. And more importantly, the roaring of a lion is purposely for the territorial protection. We used to run before but henceforth we run no more,” the Pastor declared.

Seems no different form what Ayo Oritsejafor suggested, In a statement that chronicled several attacks and killings of Christians and destruction of their places of worship, the Christian leaders said:

“We have hitherto exercised restraint in our public statements on these matters. However, we cannot continue to do so indefinitely, and are determined that in the year 2012, if these unprovoked attacks continue, and Christians remain unprotected by the security agencies, then we will have no choice but to defend our lives and property and take our own steps to ensure our safety and security”.

The statement was signed by CAN president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor; General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye; Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission; Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel; Rev Felix Omobude, Evangelist Uma Ukpai, Rev.(Mrs) Mercy Ezekiel and Pastor Wale Adefarasin.

Now we’ve heard from all these men and women, lets now hear what TB Joshua has to say on self – defense;

TB Joshua; "We Christians do not need to defend ourselves, because we have a defender"

Concerning the attacks in the country TB Joshua quoted the book of Daniel 3:16 part of which reads; Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter…” after reading This he taught with these words;

We people of God- we do not defend ourselves because we have a defender, which is what the three Hebrew men said – the life of believers in both old and New Testament testify that being faithful to God does not eliminate adversity, we should recognize that it may be a sign of being faithful to God. We cannot use the weapon of the enemy to defend ourselves – when our faith is tested; our endurance has a chance to grow. Adversity can also build you up and strengthen your faith.

With the responses of these  men, it’s clear whose advice matches up with scriptural rules and principles, one would have expected that Ayo, being the president of the P.F.N was capable of summoning all the opinion leaders in Nigeria, including both Christians and Muslims and other religions to build bridges towards peace than rather adding more fuel to flames. The issues are well launched. Who do you think bears good fruit worthy of emulation? Neither the advice of Ayo or Adeboye to raise our hands or weapons in self-defence squares up to scriptural standards, Our Lord cautioned us against that, 

”No more of this,” Jesus said to Peter (Lk. 22:51) and then, further, this was what Jesus proceeded to say – as Matthew records it - ”‘Put your sword back in its place,’ Jesus said to him, ‘for all who draw the sword will die by the sword’.

Please papa Ayo and Adeboye, let love reign and seek to always pray for your perceived enemies. CAN need to be very careful in their advice so that is not taken as a call for Christians to start killing non-Christians.

A concerned Nigerian commented on this issue by saying that from Ayo’s response on the Boko haram issue, He seems to forget that as Christians , we all have a “dark side of the soul” that is waiting to be used by the devil. CAN should not blind to see that a religious war in Nigeria is just what Bork Haram and the forces of the devil want and no matter the situation CAN should not allow themselves to be used by the forces of evil. The love of God in our hearts will not allow us shed the blood of sinners that we pray and seek to convert. In due time, members of Boko haram will become born again Christians, preaching the gospel all over the world. St Paul is an example.

Madeleine: A commenter on one of the blogs used to spread malicious and fabricated lies against TB Joshua and his ministry, she had this to say, “All information about TB Joshua that I have read from the Internet indicates that he is not accountable. I have also met a Nigerian church leader visiting England who has said exactly the same.”

Madeleine We don’t get it. Apart from God who called and commissioned him (TB Joshua), who do they want him to be accountable to? Let’s look at Jesus himself and the great men of God in the bible, there is something always unique about them and their calling, so also TB Joshua’s calling is unique. Talking about Nigeria Church Leaders, most of them belong to the PFN and have one way or the other gone to the media to make some despicable statements against TB Joshua and his ministry. The tone and style of some of the writings reveals a deep seated hatred for the Prophet. The writer of such despicable stories against the SCOAN does not even acknowledge the many good things Prophet TB Joshua is doing for Nigeria in particular and for humanity in general. Let’s not be blinded by myopic and false considerations! God alone is the supreme judge and the truth shall prevail! Dollars and Pounds do not allow them to say the truth.

Believe us when we say there are many things we would prefer to be doing than running this site – but if it can help save just a few people from the being deceived like somewhatsober,  a commenter who left a comment on our post titled Final Part – War in the Church, Many against TB Joshua saying;

I confess to being guilty of believing the unqualified rumors against TB Joshua, to my shame I even name-called him in a most disrespectful way in a ANTI SCOAN SITE, having fallen for the lies. I needed those lies in order to satisfy my own failures at SCOAN.

After months of slander and defamation, Anti SCOAN Sites finally agrees there is no evidence to support their claim of sexual abuse charges against T.B. Joshua. This is funny considering the fact that they have heaped invectives, called him names and I am wondering why they have not rendered a formal apology to the man of God. In their latest article they said:

‘We’re not saying these allegations are definitely true – we’d have no evidence to support that claim.’

If they claim there is indeed no evidence to support their claims, why are they now saying the allegations must be ‘investigated?’  If they have evidence, it is incumbent upon them to provide them to the police to investigate, because you cannot investigate anything without evidence.

They must for once keep their mouths shut and concentrate on building their lives instead of becoming permanent bloggers. If their aim is to destroy the man of God then they have failed in their venture.

Cruise Nigeria marvels's; how on earth does TB Joshua predict these events with uncanny precision

To better understand the power of the prophets, so as not to stay surprised,  Let’s examine for example the standards used in the scriptures to test a prophet. Deuteronomy 18:20; “…You may say to yourselves, ‘how can we when a message has been spoken by the Lord? If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously; do not be afraid of him”.

I am the Lord, who foils the signs of false prophets… and fulfils the predictions of his messengers” (Isaiah 44:24-26)

Note he says: I am the Lord, who foils the signs of false prophets… in other words, He ensures that the prediction of false prophets do not come to pass.

From these two scriptural passages, its obvious that the precise knowledge of the future is a preserve of the Most High God, and only God can show detailed events to happen in the future to His servants. Therefore, if a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord and the events take place, then we need to pay heed lest we find ourselves opposing the Holy Spirit. Now many TB Joshua critics are quick to quote a select few portions of scripture against TB Joshua’s prophetic ministry.

TB Joshua Critics Favourite Scriptures –the Uncut Truth!

 The first scripture they often use is in 2 Samuel 28 (1 Samuel 28:5-9, 11-19)., where Saul consults a fortune-teller, through whom he gets an accurate prediction of his imminent death. Although it wasn’t the witch of Endor who predicted that Saul and his sons would be killed and Saul’s kingdom being handed over to David, but the dead spirit or soul of Samuel whom she called up through Necromancy.

If they were referring to TB Joshua here, then their comparison is clearly off the back of a tragedy, as we all know that fortune telling through necromancy in the scriptural passage above involves Rituals with magic circles, wands, talismans, bells, and incantations which could carry on for hours, days, or even weeks, leading up the eventual summoning of spirits, to foretell the future. For this reason God forbade it even in the Old Testament;

⁹When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations. ¹⁰There shall not be found among you any one who maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or who useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, ¹¹or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. ¹²For all who do these things are an abomination unto the LORD and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee (KJV).

 Which of these rituals or practices or items have they ever seen TB Joshua with that could warrant such liberally slanted comparison to him in the first place? This clearly shows them to be subscribers of the guilt by association ploy, when there they blatantly condemn even when there are no similarities in their methods or results whatsoever.

The second portion of scripture they often quote against TB Joshua is In Acts 16 where Paul meets a slave girl who had a spirit which enables her to tell the future through supernatural means (Paul sets her free from this spirit).  And from this they conclude that the ability to tell the futurecannot be seen as an endorsement from God.

Now let’s look at this closely, the bible clearly says that this girl brought her masters much gain by soothsaying Acts 16:16. Soothsaying is  a form divination or fortune-telling which both involve Innumerable methods, processes, and items, even the scriptural commandment in Leviticus 19:26 says “You must not practice either divination or soothsaying.” None of which they’ve never seen TB Joshua practice or can prove him guilty of such practices

The third scripture they often quote and appears to be their favourite can be found in (Matt 7:21-23). Which says:

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Now lets examine this scripture closely if it really has anything to do with false prophets as many tend to believe, its true that Here Jesus clearly calls them evil doers, but this should not just be taken out of context to mean that these people were always false teachers, Notice that Jesus doesn’t at all call them lairs when they posed the question of their accomplishments in His name, in fact, its logical to conclude that for these people to tell Jesus this in the face even on the Judgement seat shows that they genuinely cast out such devils and prophesied and all the other stuff they did in the name of Jesus, the false prophets wouldn’t dare this. So what could Jesus possibly mean then calling them evil doers if they really did those miracles and others in his name?, that’s the problem when these critics take the scriptures in bits and pieces and ignore its whole counsel. What Jesus referred to here is not at all the false prophets as many believe, but clearly those who had fallen away from the faith who would come under the same judgement as the devil, remember Jesus once made reference to those who were once first becoming last and the last first, and stressed on the fact that Christians, pastors, prophets would only be rewarded if they continue till the end.

So what we have here is a scripture grossly misrepresented to make people doubt God’s Ability in the life of his servants when in real sense, it should be quoted to make believers, pastors and evangelists alike to stand firm, and for those watching them at a distance falling away to pray for their restoration, and not one which should be a cause for doubts in the hearts of people, or quoted as a warning against false prophets. Jesus made it clear that the false prophets would be easily identified by their fruits, saying that a good tree cannot bring forth bad fruit. And from what we’ve witnessed so far in the life of TB Joshua, we don’t know of a better fruit from any other minister of God alive in terms of love, care, kindness and compassion. Like Jesus said all men would know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. 

When Will the world eventually Believe TB Joshua?

People of this generation! We’ll never change. We’re just too blindfolded. When pharaoh heard there was a ‘boy’ who could interpret dreams he immediately sent for him cos he wanted whatever problem to be averted neglecting the caliber of person he was. And Claire you made mention that if he had given this prophecy in 2001 it would have been useful. But are you aware these prophecies were also given in 2008?

About economic crises?. Now is this the month of October 2011? These leaders are just like you guys who never believe until it happens. When are you guys ever going to believe this prophet? Even these same moderators analyzed his prophecies and told us it was more accurate/true than false. But why wouldn’t you guys accept the truth? Maybe you never watched that video. Cos he made mention of the scarcity of oil. And said even there wouldn’t be enough money to purchase oil. And before the prophecy TB Joshua kept advising Nigerians about the exchange of oil for dollars.

So he did mention the cause. And gave the way out. How can we call all these mere coincidence?As much as God would love to communicate His words to us, HE does it through His prophets. Or would u prefer Him to use stones? He did not speak to His people with Stones in the past. So He’ll not now.

The Purpose Of  TB Joshua’s World Prophecies

It’s logical to conclude that if God has shown TB Joshua these future events and disasters before they happen, it means God has also given him the SOLUTION and PRECAUTIONS if it is an imminent danger or a disaster- which is the real essence of these prophecies

So I think he gives the prophecies as he’s shown- which should get the attention of the people or nations concerned to seek COUNSEL of the LORD through him – or who else is better to seek counsel from than the one to whom it was revealed- just as pharaoh rightly knew that was why he said to Joseph:

“Since God has shown you all this, there is none as discerning and wise as you are. – Genesis 41:39-

Imagine pharaoh going ahead to consult the economists or food experts of his day on the way out of the imminent famine Joseph predicted? They would likely have suggested irrigation systems, or dry farming-and thus lead the world to starve to death.

But the one with divine insight knew the true extent of the famine- that nothing and nothing could be done except to store up food and preserve it.

If our leaders worldwide are going to save thousands of lives from natural disasters, save lots of money pumped into the relief of affected areas and companies save themselves huge losses etc. they should learn from pharaoh in the bible who when Joseph revealed the future disaster to happen to his nation to him, consulted him for a way out.

This is where our leaders and politicians are lacking today- Consulting the scientists and other experts (which is not wrong) but neglects prophets Like TB Joshua.

The details of his prophecies may not be enough to make everyone get the whole picture, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out from the abridged but explicit and sharp details he gives- that he knows more than he’s telling. Which he often hints by saying:

“God showed me the whole thing clearly” but “I will not say more than that”

personally I believe “God shows him everything about the event he prophesies about” but giving full details publicly could make some even allege that he himself caused the event to happen if it’s a disaster, so I think the abridged version is just a way of being careful when delivering such a sensitive message to the public.

A servant cannot be greater than his Master, the bible says;

 ”Jesus did not say a word to the people without using a parable, but when he was alone with his disciples he explained everything” Mark 4:34

I very much believe he would go into the complete details if he met the people concerned.

No matter what we say here, one fact remains- prophets with such prophetic prowess like his appear only once in a while, we are yet to see any other like him, and the earlier we embrace” his gift” the better for all of us- with such prophets in our midst- it is needless recording thousands of lives lost in natural disasters Or nations nose diving into economic crisis and the likes, of him the saying is really true” a prophet to the nations”!

When the World would eventually Believe TB Joshua

With the counsel of prophets like him thousands of people should have long evacuated an area before an earthquake occurs, a tornado, tsunami, or fire would strike a place already empty of people. Planes that would crash would not even take off at all- etc. in the end thousands would be saved.

The alleged culprits are a white man identified as Eric and understood to be of Dutch origins and Shaleen Manhiri. This followed a statement on T.B Joshua’s blog and Emmanuel TV this week where the prophet disowned the branch housed at number 42 Goodrington, Sunridge. They used to operate from 7 Arts at Avondale Shopping Centre before moving to Sunridge where they are operating from a house that is understood to belong to Shaleen’s parents.
Faced with hostile victims, the two are understood to have flown to South Africa although they claimed that they would be travelling to Nigeria today to meet T.B Joshua over the matter. Yesterday people, who felt cheated, besieged the Sunridge office demanding refunds of between  US$1 700 and US$2 200 they were made to pay to visit T.B. Joshua at his Nigeria base. Apparently the “Harare office” facilitated the travelling of Zimbabweans to Nigerian and those intending to travel were also made to surrender their passports. Some claimed to have been waiting since last year in January.

H-Metro yesterday witnessed numerous people who were demanding explanations following the statement disowning the Harare branch.
Some of the allegations against the “Harare branch” were that they were charging US$50 to those who wanted anointed water, a T.B. Joshua cd and sticker.

While the statement from the Synagogue made it clear that the anointed water is NOT for sale, Zimbabweans were being told that it costs US$100 to get the water, two cds, two stickers when in Nigeria.
Also at the “Harare branch”, a picture frame of T.B. Joshua sells for US$50 for an A4 size and US$80 for those measuring 8×12.
While mineral water being sold for US$1 is not part of the anointed water, there are concerns that most people have been buying the water believing it to be from T.B. Joshua.
With Eric and Shaleen not available to deal with the angry people yesterday, the task was left for Sithembeni Nyanzira who was however, clearly overwhelmed by a combination of phone calls and visits.
She was forced to switch off the phone as she could not take further abuse from angry ‘members’.
She told people that the statement by the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations was not a true reflection of T.B. Joshua as he was ‘in the dark’ about events in Harare.
Sithembeni claimed that Zimbabwean pastors from unnamed local churches were the ones ‘bribing’ the SCOAN communications department.
“There are pastors here who think they are losing followers because of us and they have come up with a plan to stop us from operating.
“The prophet is not even aware of these developments. People in the (SCOAN) email department are the one manipulating the messages. That’s why Eric and Shaleen are travelling to Nigeria tomorrow to clear the air with the prophet.
“What is happening is not a surprise because it was even prophesised that we would face such trials. There are people out there who also want to be the local agents for T.B. Joshua and they are doing all they can to see us out,” she said.
Those who were anxious to know about Sunday’s service were advised to check with Sithembeni on Saturday.
“Call on Saturday to check if we will a service on Sunday as we are awaiting the outcome of the meeting in Nigeria between prophet and our representatives.”
Sources said yesterday people who attend the “Harare branch” services on Sundays start by hearing testimonies from those who would have ‘bought’ the ‘anointed’.
The members then watch the live broadcast of T.B. Joshua’s service from Nigeria.
As T.B. Joshua finishes the main service and attends to individual members in need of prayer, the “Harare branch” members will then get the US$50 anointed water, which often runs out.
H-Metro heard one such testimony yesterday from one lady who was there to confirm the genuinity of the SCOAN “Harare branch”, the anointed water and stickers.
She claimed that her car burst a front tyre but avoided a tragic accident.
“Makamboonepi mota inobursta front tyre at 120km/hr igomira pasina kana anokuvara…”
She believes the sticker and anointed water saved lives on the day and she was not blaming the two for causing the mishap in the first place.

Now they’re sounding totally absurd, illogical and highly disappointing, they cunningly turn the prophecy to an issue of “protests’ and not the “economic depression” which TB Joshua really emphasized.  TB Joshua never said world-wide protests were Just starting on October 16^th 2011, Neither was the official video SCOAN released tagged TB Joshua predicts the world-wide protests; it was tagged: Economic depression Prophecy 2012, In other words He was only speaking further on the economic depression he prophesied back in 2008, but then added that at that time, (October 16, 2011) the world had only seen 30% of the crisis, leaving a whopping 70% yet to be experienced.

Meaning he well acknowledged in the October 16 prophecy that the crisis had begun, yet emphasized that we have not seen anything yet, He was clearly speaking of the scale of the problem ahead which no News report can give for certain, the News media only report the happenings in the present. I guess these critics should take another look at that video now cos it seems their cynicism is blinding them to obvious facts.

Look at the title of the Official Prophecy Video SCOAN released again, it doesn’t talk about the prediction of “worldwide protests” but “economic depression in 2012″, deceptively talking about the protests alone while ignoring the economic depression is Just picking a tree in the forest to blab about, these critics should at least get their facts straight before making press releases, If they’re talking of the prediction made in 2011 being a function of news reading, are they forgetting the prediction made early 2008 on the worldwide economic depression to strike the world like a plague?

The choice of TB Joshua’s prophecies they use to attack his prophetic prowess is highly selective for a start, why don’t they take on the Nigerian Bombings predicted two years ago or the 2011 Nigerian election postponement prophecy? Why didn’t they use these as a standard to measure against?  That alone raises a red-flag that there’s some sort of catch to their so-called expose’s on TB Joshua.

Notwithstanding, in 2008, the prophet did make it clear that his prediction of the economic depression was a long-term prophecy, not immediate. And at that time of making the Prophecy of the Nigerian Protest, such an event happening in Nigeria dominating world news headlines seemed like a farce and very unlikely.  What is wrong with these people? Pointing to such detailed prophecy of the Nigerian Protests as News reading, what news report furnished us with the details of TB Joshua’s October 16 prophecy? Certainly not the Reuters News report they provided a link to.

 TB Joshua did not only talk about protests, he also explained in the same prophecy that the world was only witnessing 30% of the crisis at the time, economic depression swallowing up terrorism in 2012, currency devaluation – especially of the euro, countries not having enough money to buy oil, a law that would limit the amount of money people can move and so on. Which news report gave any of these details?

Nigerian Protests; sparked up by a 100%+ increase in fuel prices

If they could dig up a Reuters report that talked up a protest taking place in  Rome, (hundreds of thousands of miles away from Nigeria)  how does that automatically translate that such would happen in Nigeria judging by the fact that Nigeria has never in its history experienced anything of such?  This is the classic guilt by association fallacy they use in deceiving people about TB Joshua, even in regards to healings and miracles which we’ve addressed in earlier posts, listen to how they expanded on their ad hominem fallacy on this prophecy;

 At this point, his supporters will be quick to point out that he also mentioned protests in his home land of Nigeria, and those have only recently started. However, when taken in the wider context of worldwide protests spreading country to country, and the economic and political climate Nigeria was already in, it would be more remarkable if street protests didn’t happen!

Did they just say; It would be more remarkable if street protests didn’t happen in Nigeria over three months ago? What in the world warrant expectancy of protests in Nigeria?  Nigeria has since been in a sordid economic and political climate since independence, and that never resulted in protests, What fueled such expectancy when such has never happened in Nigeria’s history? Even if wall street protests did happen overseas, it could have very possibly not spread to the shores of Nigeria and People would be calling TB Joshua a prophet of Doom, because that of Nigeria was sparked of by a 100%+ increase in fuel costs,  not because of the circumstances that led to protests in all other Nations, even the Reuters report they alleged  was the source of TB Joshua’s prophecy said some were disappointed the crowd was not larger and the protests  were  Not As Large As they had Hoped,  adding that “People don’t want to get involved”  so there was even a greater prospect of the protests in Nigeria not happening than otherwise.

The nation of Nigeria was in a state of limbo, a standstill going into Sunday 15th January 2012, as talks between the Federal Government and labour unions in an attempt to come to a consensus on the issue of fuel subsidies and protests, ended in an unsatisfactory deadlock.

The discussions on Saturday evening which lasted for hours in order to resolve the petrol price crisis which had caused a nationwide strike for five days was inconclusive as both sides acknowledged that they had been unable to come to a place of compromise. Talks were postponed again ‘till Sunday night, leaving Nigerians unsure of what the coming week might hold – whether continued protests nationwide or a compromise from the president and the government, or something else.

On Sunday morning, while Nigerians were worrying about what the outcome of the crisis might be, many still afraid to venture out of the safety of their homes, Pastor TB Joshua, of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Ikotun Egbe, Lagos, addressed the issue directly during his sermon, broadcast live via his TV station, Emmanuel TV.

He said that Nigeria had prayed and hoped. But that one thing that was yet to be done was to apply love. He quoted, 1 Corinthians 13:13 – There are only 3 things – faith, hope and love. The greatest is love. “Since the greatest thing is love, we need to make the greatest sacrifice. Our president is the person who should make the greatest sacrifice. The other participants will follow”, TB Joshua asserted.

Addressing the nation, he said: “My message to the nation, to you Nigeria – is compromise. Love is compromise – to give chance for peace in the interests of the nation. To compromise means we must shift ground.”

According to the author of this article: Nigerian President should appoint TB Joshua as a presidential advisor.

He further said: “We should not give the impression of embarrassing the president and the other participants in the crisis. To achieve this easily, our president must rely more on politicians than on technocrats”.

Towards the end of his sermon, TB Joshua once again reassured his nation of Nigeria, saying:

“The nation Nigeria and people of Nigeria – the issue of the crisis, put it behind you. You say that you are not going on Monday, that you think you’ll be restricted. No. I think God is on top. God is in control.”

Later on Sunday night, the Nigerian government sent mixed messages. Many Nigerians sat glued to their television sets, awaiting a message from the president yet none came. Talks were postponed again and Nigerians went to bed unsure of what the morrow might bring forth.

The tables turned on Monday 16th January 2012, when early in the morning, the news was released nationwide that a consensus had been reached and an agreement had finally been made.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan said in an address to the nation that petrol prices would be reduced to 97 naira a litre. That is a reduction of about 35 percent but it still remains higher than the 65 naira per litre Nigerians paid before the government ended the fuel subsidy at the beginning of the year. That is, he had come to a place of compromise.

“The Government will continue to pursue full deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector. However, given the hardships being suffered by Nigerians, and after due consideration and consultations … the government has approved the reduction of the pump price of petrol,” said Goodluck Jonathan in a televised address Monday morning.

In response, labour unions promptly agreed to suspend mass protests to allow further negotiations with the government.

The questions that might spring to many minds are, was it all just a co-incidence or did the president listen to the counsel from TB Joshua and act according to it? Did TB Joshua send a message to the president, giving him God’s opinion on the crises at hand?

It doesn’t take Albert Einstein to see the connection between TB Joshua’s words and the action taken later that day by the President and the Federal Government.

TB Joshua is a renowned minister known world over, particularly for his prophetic ministry and his humanitarian services. Most recently, it was said that he had accurately predicted the street protests in Nigeria, stating in October 2011 that he could see people protesting from street to street, from state to state. He mentioned that the people that really make this economy work, the grassroots would soon be on the street and that the nation would come to a standstill as the big men would wonder how they could do the job by themselves.

One might ask, if the president and Nigerians had listened to this prophecy at the time it was given and sought advice on how to handle the crisis, we might not have lost the billions of naira that the catastrophe cost our nation. Perhaps our president should learn from the leaders and kings of old, who always sought God’s opinion from a prophet regarding the matters of the nation.
